BTC Test Facility Management

The BTC Laboratory Management Committee has members from vehicle and engine manufacturers, oil companies, catalyst manufacturers and engineering consultancies. These meetings provide a forum for member companies to share their experiences within the operation of engine test cell and vehicle chassis dynamometer facilities.

The Committee consists of senior facility managers and is responsible for the creation and monitoring of BTC's other Group activities. Some of these are long term such as the Technician Training Initiative and Emissions Testing Group whilst others may be short term based on providing a specific target.

Through the regular meetings at member’s sites, facility managers have the opportunity to seek advice on any issues with a large group of individuals facing the same challenges. The Committee monitors new Health and Safety legislation and maintains the Laboratory Equipment Database which catalogues subscribing member company equipment for the purposes of assistance with of existing equipment issues, requests for loan or hire of equipment, or simply the sharing of supplier contact details.
